We had to build a pendulum. Seems easy, right? Not quite. This was a project that lasted the entire semester wherein different aspects of the pendulum had to be tested – and improved – and students were to cover all of their data and findings.


This is a project that has long been a part of the first-year Engineering Science curriculum, and while challenging, it was an exciting chance to see theoretical physics taught in the class actually apply to a real-world machine.
